Brand identity design for restaurants and bars in London.

A good venue is a feeling before it is a logo. We build brand identities for restaurants, bars and cafés from the inside out: the room, the neighbourhood, the people who come, and the people you want to come next.

What a brand identity includes

Research and positioning

We look at your venue, area, competitors and reviews, then put what your venue stands for into one clear sentence.

Name, logo and wordmark

A mark that works on a door, a menu, a phone screen and a napkin.

Colour and typography

A palette and typefaces chosen for how your venue looks in daylight, in candlelight and on a small screen.

Photography direction

What to photograph, how, and what to leave out, so every image looks like it belongs to you.

Written voice

How your venue sounds: dish names, menu language, captions and website copy.

A short brand guide

Simple rules so anyone who works with your venue can use the brand consistently.

Culture-led, not template-led.

We start from the people and the place around a venue, not from a mood board of other restaurants.

Before we draw anything, we walk the area at the times you trade, read your reviews and your competitors’, look at who follows you and who does not, listen to how your team describe the place, and study what the neighbourhood already looks like so you can stand out on purpose.

The result is an identity that could only belong to your venue.

Refocus or rebrand?

Not every venue needs a rebrand.

If your name and regulars are an asset, we keep what is working and give the rest a younger, sharper face. Mandaloun Westfield needed less of a rebrand and more of a refocus.

When a venue is changing hands, concept or neighbourhood, we run a full relaunch: identity, website, menus and print together, so everything arrives at once and looks like one place. The Reach Riverside is an example.

Questions we get asked

What is the difference between a logo and a brand identity?

A logo is one mark. A brand identity is the whole system around it: colour, type, photography direction, the way your venue writes and speaks, and the rules for using it consistently on the website, menus, signage and social media.

Do we need a full rebrand, or can you work with what we have?

Often a refocus works better than a rebrand. If your name, logo and regulars are an asset, we keep what is working and fix what is not. Mandaloun Westfield is an example: it needed less of a rebrand and more of a refocus.

How long does a project take?

It depends on the scope. We agree a timeline in writing before any work starts, so you know what arrives and when.

How do you price projects?

Every project is quoted in writing after a venue diagnosis. The diagnosis is from £400, and the full amount is credited against any package if you go on to work with us.

Tell us about your venue.

We’ll tell you, honestly, where the gap is.
